BIOGRAPHY

Gaétan Kuchta is a French-born conductor who for more than 15 years has been performing  as an instrumentalist, conductor and professor in countries on the European continent such as Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Finland, England, Italy, Russia and Switzerland; besides Canada, Mexico and Ecuador in America.

Gáetan Kuchta is a french-born orchestra conductor who is part of the new generation of young french conductors abroad,  mainly in Latin America.

 

Since April 2016 he is the Musical Director of the Symphony Orchestra of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (OSUAEH) , in Mexico.

 

For more that 10 years he's been performing in different countries such as Finland, Spain, England, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Ecuador, and in Russia as an instrumentist , conductor and  pedagogue .

In recent years we've seen him in charge of different orchestras, mainly in Mexico , as the likes of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Zacatecas, Orquesta Sinfónica de Aguascalientes, Orquesta Sinfónica de Guanajuato, Orquesta Sinfónica de Xalapa, Orquesta Filarmónica de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Orquesta Sinfónica de Michoacán, among others, and as well with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Cuenca, in Ecuador .

the  Moscow State Symphony Orchestra invited him to conduct two concerts at the end of January 2017.

In recent years, Gáetan has conducted more than 80 concerts with 150 different musical compositions and share the stage with soloists like Regis Pasquier, Anna Göckel, Julie Sevilla-Fraysse, Fabrice Millisher, Erika Dobosiewicz, Stephane Labeyrie, Kristina Fejes , Alan Vizzuti, and others.

In June 2013, Gaétan is among the 11 finalist to be " Professor of Orchestra Direction " in the Musikene, in San Sebastian, Spain.

One of the highlights among the diverse  pedagogic and social projects carried out by Gaétan is come up with the idea to propose to young non-musicians to create their own sea related to La Mer (C. Debussy), the Dijon Opera and the  London Symphony Orchestra.

Thanks to his work at the Dijon Opera he was able to work  with operas such as Georges Bizet's Carmen , Giuseppe Verdi's Aida ,  Richard Wagner's The Flying Dutchman and  Tristan und Isolde .

In April 2013, Gaétan ends a 3-week tour as a guest conductor in the Latin American Trombone Competition , where he was able to teach orchestra conducting, as well as working with two different orchestras the concerts of Rota and David, as well the  Peter and the Wolf, and  The Carnival of the Animals in the cities Aguascalientes and Celaya.

For 3 years Gaétan was the conductor of the Orchestra of Adult Courses at the Conservatory , at the 10th district of Paris.

In May 2012, he was invited to conduct the concert ceremony honoring the greatest trumpeter of the 20th century, Maurice André , at the Saint-Roch church in Paris.

In 2007, he founds the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Burgundy (OSJB) and the first concert takes place at the Dijon Plaza on June 21 of the same year, with an attendance of 80, 000 people. He was the musical director of the OSJB until 2009.

Parallel with his  instrumental studies, Gaétan becomes orchestra conductor and founds in 2003 an  symphony orchestra that is selected for the International Festival of University Music , in Belfort, France.

Following the  teachings of  Jean-Sébastien Béreau , in 2005 he studied conducting with Pierre Cao at the Dijon Conservatory, where he graduated 3 years later in Orchestra Conducting, Harmony, Musical Culture & Trombone. I have  continue  perfecting himself with Helene Bouchez and taking part in master classes with  Herve Klopfenstein .
